Jeep or Scion, any suggestions for preference?

I'm having those two cars in my mind for preference, the Jeep Liberty or Scion sports coupe, just like every car that looks good, but i wanna find out about economy on those, are they expencive on maintenance? Is mechanical satisfaction good enough or do they keep failing often? What's your satisfactyon and comments on it? (if you own one)
