Is this just in my head?

So sometimes when I'm watching television or listening to the radio or something..and someone is talking/singing, their voice will distort and get deeper. It sounds kindof condescending in a way, like they are yelling at me or scolding me for something. It doesn't exactly scare me, but it just freaks me out. Does anyone know why this happens...none of my friends can relate.
