10 month son w/a fever only at night?

First the obvious, talk to his doctor. If he is ill the fever shouldn't last more than a few days. Our pediatrician suggests alternating baby Tylenol with Motrin. It is strange that the fever only comes at night... are you sure he is not just over bundled at night? My son gets hot at night and is always kicking off the covers. If he is teething the fever maybe increased at night since he is lying down. You could try a foam wedge which goes under the sheets (You can find at Babies R US) to elevate and help relieve the throbbing. This along with an ice cube wrapped in a washcloth got us though the teething nights. Good luck to you!
