Can potato skins be done well on a bbq grill?

I'm cooking a superbowl party type-themed luncheon for a group of 75-100 people, and i'll have access to only a refrigerator, crock pots, roasting pan, and a large bbq grill. Of course, I have the usual hot dogs and burgers, nachos, dips with chips, crackers, etc. I would like to make potato skins with cheese, bacon, and sour cream. I can make them ahead and leave off the sour cream, but I don't know how well they'd be warmed on the grill. Anyone know, or have tips for other inexpensive foods I can make ahead or with only a grill or crock pot, that also fit into the theme? I'm not a great cook, so it has to be simple AND inexpensive. I think wings will be out of the budget, but anything with pasta, rice, or potatoes, I can probably do. Just need ideas that would fit in the theme and the restricted cooking facilities. I think potato skins would be great, if I can make them work on a grill. Thanks for whatever tips you can provide.
